Very strong increase of traffic to the microsite visits compared to the previous year by improving the customer journey.

The challenge
A custom-made staircase is an ideal solution for a cost-effective renovation. It allows you to create a completely new look without the need for a full replacement. This option is more affordable than a complete renovation and more durable and aesthetically more pleasing than a simple paint job. Additionally, you can select a design that complements your interior. Customers are always really happy with the end result.
The challenge was to make the benefits more widely known. The website needed to be optimized to ensure a smooth customer journey that provided the right information at the right time. Both attributing to the end goal: Generate more sales.
Our approach
Step 1 – Optimizing the Customer Journey: We improved landing pages to match search queries, ensuring users got the right information at the right time. For example for the search query "stair renovation options," we provided brochures, comparisons, and sample requests.
Step 2 – YouTube & Demand Generation: In October, we launched a YouTube and Demand Generation campaign targeting home renovators, look-alike audiences, and relevant website visitors. With sample requests converting well, we focused on driving these, using engagement data for retargeting.
Step 3 – Omnichannel Strategy: To expand reach, we ran a radio campaign in weeks 43 and 45 and placed promotional folders in hardware stores highlighting benefits and discounts.
Step 4 – SEA & Retargeting: In the last two weeks, we boosted our brand campaign budget to capture high-value traffic. We retargeted engaged users and created urgency with a 25% discount valid until the weekend after Black Friday.
Step 5 – Evaluation & Next Steps: The campaign was a success, proving that the right offer, marketing mix, and data-driven strategy drives demand. We refined targeting and messaging to further improve conversion rates, ensuring continuous growth.
